Question: 1. Wingmen or Wingwoman: To improve your chances on the dating scene, you have decided to recruit a wingman or a wingwoman.

a) How, in general terms, should you choose your wingman or wingwoman?

b) Imagine that your attractiveness (A) and intelligence (I) two variables of interest are both rated 9 on a 10-point scale. You have two competitors (1) A = 10 and I = 8; and (2) A = 8 and I = 10. Construct a diagram with I on the vertical axis and A on the horizontal axis. Plot yourself and your two competitor endowment points on the diagram.

c) In what range would you want your wingman or wingwoman's attractiveness and intelligence to fall? Show in the diagram and clearly label.

d) With reference to your diagram, explain how this might help you in your dating scene chances. Identify the underlying behavioral economics theory relevant to this problem.

e) If someone asks you to be his or her wingman or wingwoman, what does this analysis suggest that he or she thinks about your attractiveness and intelligence?
