Is there enough data to aid decision making

The administration at your health care facility wants to decrease the rate of hospital-acquired infections (HAI) that occur among inpatients. It has reviewed infection (outcomes) reports with managers from all of the inpatient departments and surgery, yet none of them can identify specific factors that are contributing to the increase in infections.

There must be a reason for the increased rate of HAI; it's just a matter of looking in the right place. Identify the types of measures and sources data that could help identify the cause(s) of the infections and explain the rationale for your choices.
