Assignment - Public Health Questions
Description - Review the organization structure and leadership of your case study organization/department. After Identifying the structure and leadership of department of the services, the QI plan is to address, summarize your findings. It is important to identify the leadership and decisions-makers of the department(s) that that is being analyzed as part of the QI analysis. The summary report should be organized in these sections:
Name - Provide the name of the department(s).
Services - Describe the service(s) that is being analyzed as part of the QI analysis
Organizational Structure: Identify the structure of the department(s) that have a part in providing the service(s) that is being analyzed as part of the QI analysis. What personnel work within the department(s) and what are their functions? How are they organized, i.e. technologists, physicians, nurses, office support, etc.
1. The Role of Leadership: Identify the leaders and decision-makers of the department(s) responsible for the service(s) being analyzed by the QI analysis. Who has responsibility for aspects of the services of the department(s).
2. The Role of the Board of Directors: Identify the role the Board of Directors of your case study organization has for the responsibilities in the department(s) or service(s) being analyzed by the QI analysis. In most cases, departmental level decisions do not require Board of Director approval. However, the Board may be interested in the outcomes of the analysis and measured outcomes.
3. Information Management (Technology): Identify the Information management tools and other technologies that are currently in use within the department(s) that support the service(s) being provided. The information systems and technology can be the back-bone of collecting and reporting data on services being provided with a department and organization.
