Having submitted the report based on pay equity, the HR Director now wants a tool that will help senior managers to inspect payroll data. Specifically, they want their IT team to devise dashboard that will provide visualisations related to payroll, with the ability to cut the data by other factors (e.g., compensation at different levels, compensation of male vs. female employees).
The IT team is facing two challenges. First of all, they have no knowledge about what factors the payroll data should be cut by (they are not HR experts). Second, although they are capable of programming a dashboard, they do not know what the most appropriate way is to present and visualise data to managers.
As a People Analytics team, you have been asked to design a prototype analytics dashboard for the IT team to build. You have been given an employee dataset that has data related to employee compensation, as well as several factors thought to influence payroll.
