You have received handover for your patient, they are a 76 year old male who is day three post repair of # L) NOF. He is currently on QID observations and BGLs. You review the care plan and note that he has a wound on his R) foot is due to be changed tomorrow. He is on O2 2l via NP.

• Type II Diabetes
• COPD
• Epilepsy
• Smoker

3. What should your immediate nursing actions be?
4. Are there any medications that you could give this patient to help with his respiratory distress?
