Review of the Research Process and Research Designs

Case Assignment

Locate two articles from peer reviewed journals (hint: work efficiently, locate articles that are relevant to a potential topic for your TAD).

One article should utilize quantitative methods and the other article should utilize qualitative methods. Read each article carefully.

In a 3- to 5-page paper, address the following for each article:

• Identify the research design.

• Provide a summary and evaluation of the data collection procedures.

• Provide a summary and evaluation of the data analysis procedures.

• Provide a summary of the differences you observe in the report of the findings between the two articles (pay attention to what information is included and how it is presented).

• Discuss how these articles add to your knowledge about the topic, research problem, or research process you are exploring for the TAD.
