Questions 2

The following information is gathered/measured from the site.

- The plant room is in the basement and the cooling tower pump (with 200mm nominal standard steel rough iron pipe on the suction side) draws water out of the cooling tower.

- The cooling tower is installed on the sixth floor of the same building.

- The elevation from the basement to sixth floor is 20m.

- Use the Attachments provided to assist where relevant.

- Access the following online resource through the Reading List (on Blackboard) in relation to the physical properties of water:

o Crittenden, J. C., Montgomery Watson, H., & Wiley, L (2012). MWH's water treatment : principles and design (3rd ed. / ed.). Hoboken, N.J. John Wiley and Sons. (see Appendix C Physical Properties of Water)

- Other information of relevance is shown below.

Verified Expert

The assignment is about cooling tower and water pump. There were 2 questions in the paper out of which the first one is about pump and its basic parameters and flow diagram. The second one is about cooling tower and its working principle and specifications. From the assignment we come to know about the basic flow diagram. Solution is prepared in Microsoft Word Document.
