The assignment: Assume you are working for a major international company. As you think about the way the world is evolving-technologically, environmentally, socially, politically, etc.-and about the business subject of the week, you have realized that these changes will have implications for your company. You have decided to write a memo to the company's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the hope of (gently) persuading the CEO to pay attention to and respond to your concerns.
Your memo should (1) identify the relevant force(s) for change, (2) discuss how this force (these forces) might affect the company with respect to the business subject of the week, and (3) make recommendations for what your company might/should do in response.
The essay is to be addressed to the CEO of a specific company by name. Target length: 750 words. A sample format for your memo is on the back of this page. You are welcome to cut and paste the format around your memo when you finalize it for submission.
