When applying statistical inference, we use information (data) from a sample to infer something about a wider population. For the laws of probability to apply, we must be sure that our data comes from a sample that is randomly selected or is designed as a randomized comparative experiment.
Identify a healthcare population you would be interested in learning more about and create a study design that addresses the following elements:
1. Define your variable(s).
2. Identify the procedure you will use for selecting the sample (randomized).
3. Describe how you plan to collect your data.
4. Identify the appropriate model to use for assigning probability to your outcomes (Continuous or Discrete).
The population mean is greater than 200 and the sample mean is 215, we can say that the claim is true even without a formal test. I this true or false and why?
Once again, suppose that the standard deviation of the average or median is $5.00. Which is the probability that the average or median of the sample is greater than $22.50 but less than $25.00?

Create an accurate scatter plot of the data. This can be done by hand or using a program like Excel. Use Height as the x variable and Arm Span as the y variable. Does this graph show a linear relationship between x and y?
Use Chebyshev's theorem to find what percent of the values will fall between 120 and 150 for a data set with mean of 135 and standard deviation of 7.5
