The four perspectives of tourism are business, government, tourist, and host. The business people see tourism as an opportunity to make a profit by supplying goods and services by market demand. Tourist seek various physical experiences and satisfaction. Politicians with the government view tourism as a wealth factor in the economy of their jurisdiction. Their perspective is related to the income the citizens earn from this business. The host is the local people who usually see tourism as a cultural and employment factor.

Museums originated in the ancient Near East with the Greeks. Sanctuaries like Apollo's at Delphi and Zeus at Olympia Statue gradually accumulated valuable objects donated by the people. Museums are important to tourist travel because it provides them cultural heritage. Museums provide a unique experience of getting close to things we usually only see in books or television.

Tourism organizations can be classified Geographically, by ownership such as the government, by function or activity, by industry, and by motive.

A traveling agent can be a private retailer or public service that provides tourism and travel related services to the public. Travel agents provide consultation services and travel packages.

They can book flights, cruises, rental cars and hotels for you.

The steps involved in the travel research process
