Problem

You learned about the 7 imperatives to studying intercultural communication. Related to the imperatives, but most specifically, the self-awareness imperative is the concept of "cultural humility" (reference Chapter Narrative and PPTs for more explanation of cultural humility). For the problem, explain a situation that you believe would be perceived or acted upon differently if the participants exhibited more cultural humility. In your post, complete the following:

A. Explain the situation. Be sure to use appropriate and adequate research to support and c o m p l e t e your explanation.

B. Identify the participants and their perspectives or actions. Explain how you believe one or many are failing to demonstrate cultural humility. Support this with the research.

C. Explain how the participants' perspectives or actions would have been different if they had adopted an approach with more cultural humility. Be specific in addressing what would be different in their perspectives or actions and how that could positively influence an alternative outcome.
