Your marketing business has been operating successfully in Canada for 5 years. Your lead team of 4 individuals determine it's time to expand, and subsequently decide to create presence in France. Much of your work is already done via virtual platforms, allowing the successful candidate to be location independent. Your recent recruitment campaign for a European Marketing Manager has successfully narrowed the candidate list to 3 individuals. One person is in Germany, one lives in Canada, and the third lives in Italy.

1. Considering the locations of the candidates (home, host, third), what advantages/disadvantages might each person's location create for your business?

2. As a lead team, you have decided to conduct a virtual panel interview with each candidate as a selection method to identify the new Marketing Manager. Based on what you believe to be necessary skills, create one situational interview question and one behavioral interview question that would help you discern which candidate is the best choice.
