Medicare and Medicaid Assignment

Write a 2 page paper about Medicare and Medicaid. In your paper:

Part 1: Give a brief history (in your own words) of each

Part 2: Explain eligibility requirements, coverage, and premiums for both.

Part 3: Explain how a patient might have both, and how billing would work for those patients.

Part 4: Include definitions of the acronyms FI and MAC.

Part 5: Explain and provide an example of Medicaid and Medicare fraud and describe the effects they have on the system.

Vulnerable or High Risk Population Assignment

Please select a vulnerable population that is of interest to you in your community. It may be the homeless, single teen mothers, severely mentally ill, those living below the poverty level, etc. Complete the following questions in complete sentences.

Question 2. Identify the needs of this vulnerable population such as shelter, education, food, clothing, health care, transportation, language skills, etc.

Question 3. Identify the specific community resources/organizations that your community has to support this targeted population. List a minimum of four organizations that can help support this vulnerable population and include the name of the organization/service, address/phone, website, how they are funded, services provided and who is eligible for their services.
