Question: Following Mrs Laxmi's surgery she was found to have a haemoglobin count of 80g/L due to the large amount of PV blood loss she was experiencing before surgery. The decision was made to transfuse Mrs Laxmi with one unit of red blood cells, following which she would be reassessed to identify the need for further blood products.
