Read the case study to identify the main point and key players. You will summarize the main points and identify themes as if you were telling someone this case for the first time. When writing this part of the paper, it is helpful to think about the following questions:
• What is really going on?
• What are the main problems or main issue?
• How do the problems relate to each other?
• What are the underlying issues?
• How or why did these issues develop? Provide a brief description.
(a) Background statement to introduce what you will write about
• Summarize the scenario, but do not restate the scenario.
• Identify key points, the stakeholders, setting, and situation.
(b) Identify the problems or issues. Discuss the specific issue and secondary issues and how they relate.
(c) Consider relevant information and underlying assumptions. Some of the information in the case might not be useful to your analysis. Separate the facts of the case from assumptions. The more assumptions you make, the weaker your analysis will be.
(d) List potential solutions to the problem, and the pros and cons of these.
(e) Conclusion: Select one of your listed solutions and provide your reasoning for the selection.
Papers should include a title page, reference list (at least 2 academicals), and 3 pages of writing (title and reference page not counted). Double-space, using Times New Roman 12-point font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
