Assessment instructions

Students are required to prepare a 1500-word evaluation report on the impact caused by disruptive technology (this could be an analytical tool discussed in one of the case studies in assessment).

The evaluation report will link to key theories and concepts in strategic intelligence and business analytics and consider how business analytics will assist current organisations to address this complex disruptive challenge and change the way organisations work.

Working on you report, you are expected to complete the following steps:

Relate to the concepts/principles of Strategic Intelligence which have been discussed in class

Identify the main challenges faced by the organisations

Discuss what analytical tool could assist in helping to analyse the issue

If applicable, what role an analyst or strategist has played in working on this project

Outline how the analytical tool has addressed or improved the situation

The purpose of this assignment is to assess the student's:

• understanding of concepts/principles of Strategic Intelligence which have been discussed in class:

• ability to apply the concepts and logic of Strategic Intelligence in real life situations;

• ability to develop and support an argument/position in strategic management;

• ability to analyse, critique and think strategically;

• ability to identify enhancements to strategies. systems and practices.
