Address the following regarding a social issue of substance abuse:

1. State the history of the social problem above and identify the main cause(s) of the social problem.

2. Discuss why this problem continues to exist.

3. Provide at least two negative effects of the social problem.

4. Evaluate how one social problem is associated with each of the following issues:

- juvenile delinquency,

- teen pregnancy, child neglect,

- elder abuse,

- domestic violence

5. Describe in detail how the social problem is associated with and impacts the development of families. Be sure to address how it affects family functioning in at least three family subsystems (parental, sibling, parent/child, grandparent/child, parent/grandparent).
