Case Study: Your company has a large warehousing operation attached to the company's widget manufacturing facility. The warehouse is 120,000 square feet and contains about 3,675,000 cubic feet of air. There are 35 employees working in the warehouse with 15 LP-powered forklifts moving containers in and out. Employees work eight-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Because the warehouse is in Detroit, five vented industrial gas heaters are located just below the ceiling and are used from October until early May. During the winter months, most of the employees complained of headaches and some cases of nausea, typically on Thursdays and Fridays. However, when reporting back to work on Mondays, employees were not experiencing any issues.
