Surveys have become on of the most commonly used research design in sociology and other branches of social science. The popularity of surveys has also spread to the public and private sectors where surveys are commonly used for diverse purposes such as gauging voting behavior, monitoring population health, determining unemployment, and marketing goods and services.

There are about four common manners of administering surveys: in-person interviews, telephone interviews, mailed questionnaires, and web surveys. Please write paper in which you identify the fundamental features of survey research and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of each type of manner of administration. Make sure you consider the following criteria when evaluating manner of administration:

Coverage (ability to reach the target population)
