A link chain loaded as shown in Figure P19.25 is comprised of two sizes of links that are connected with pins. Assume that the thicker links are twice as thick as a thin link. For this problem:

(a) Copy the drawings and sketch paths of force flow through the chain.

(b) Using the force flow concept, locate and identify the critical sections for the

(1) thick link,

(2) thin link, and

(3) pin.
