Scenario

You have recently seen an advertisement on the times of Oman for an IT Technician job at Modern College of Business and Science. To be a successful candidate for the interview you have been asked to produce a report to show your understanding of common computer components and the purpose of different computer systems.

Tasks 1

Produce a report with images that identify the common components of a computer system. Each component should be described in one paragraph. You could also add a block diagram showing the data flow between the main component types including directions.

Hint:
The components you should cover are:
1. Hardware components
- At least two input devices.
- A least two output devices.
- Storage devices (Primary and Secondary storage)
- Motherboard with its components
2. Software components
- Application Software
- System Software

Task 2
The advertisement has asked to produce leaflet that describes the purpose of different types of computer system. Choose at least 5 computer systems in the list below.
1. Minicomputers
2. Main frame computers
3. Microcomputers
4. Super computers
5. PDAs
6. Server computer
7. Laptop
8. Desktop

Provide a picture for each type of computer system.
