This CTP is to be written per APA style and remember to cite! Refer to Purdue Owl website or the Student writing Center for questions. The purpose of this rubric is to provide you feedback on your Critical Thinking papers and to give you suggestions for improvement.

PART ONE

IDENTIFICATION :

Identify the central ethical issue present in the case. What is the main ethical problem the decision-maker must resolve? Also identify as many other ethical issues, questions, or problems as you can find in the scenario. Distinguish the central issue from the others you identified. Focus on the central issue for the remainder of the paper. Remember to state in this format:

What should _______________ do about ________________?

RESEARCH :

Gather information relevant to the Central Ethical Issue. Use outside sources to gain a better understanding of the issue. Your new information should look like an Annotated Bibliography. Additionally, make sure to include your new sources, as well as your textbook, in the references section of your paper per APA format.

ANALYSIS :

This section has three parts:

1. Identify as many options (at least three) for solving the central ethical issue as possible.

2. Identify as many as the stakeholders (people affected by the issue) as possible. Remember that Act Utilitarian needs to include more than one stakeholder in order for the Net Utility to be, the greatest good for the greatest many!

3. Discuss in detail how each option is likely to affect the stakeholders.

Please use the chart/matrix method shown in Ch. 4 to set up your analysis section. Note, though, that I still expect detailed responses in the boxes, yet you can be brief.
