A 74 y/o woman with poorly controlled hypertension presents with

(a) inability to abduct the right eye,

(b) a left-sided paralysis of the upper and lower extremities, and

(c) a loss of proprioception, discriminative touch and vibratory sense on the left side of the body.

The patient's family indicates that these symptoms appeared suddenly after she had eaten dinner and were accompanied by nausea and dizziness.
