Assessment - Case Study
Learning outcome 1: Analyze and reflect on the alternative methodologies used in developing business information systems
Learning outcome 2: Critically analyze requirements modelling and different modelling techniques for developing business information systems,
Learning outcome 3: Develop requirements and specifications and provide conceptual and practical arguments to defend the solutions based on the core principles of information system analysis and design,
Learning outcome 4: Develop prototypes of information systems demonstrating initiative and problem- solving judgement aligned to client needs and best practices,
Learning outcome 5: Communicate the requirements for the business functionality of an information system in terms of data required, data storage and processing to technical and non- technical stakeholders.
Assessment Component
1. System Vision document for the whole system
System vision is a few pages document including three parts: 1. Problem of the system,2. Capabilities of new system, 3. Benefits of new system:
2. Event Table with six events for the whole system
Identify the benefits to the company and the functional capabilities that will be included in the overall system. Construct an event table that consists of 6 events for each subsystem
3. Activity (Workflow) diagrams for the whole system
With a clear introduction and heading for each diagram.
4. User Stories for the whole system
Each group should develop 1 user stories for each subsystem.
