Initial Information:

Margaret is a 79 year old female. She is brought into the emergency room at 9:30 AM by her son Mark. Margaret is complaining of left hip pain. She states her pain is a 9 out of 10 on a 0-10 pain scale. Mark make the comment that his mother is "old and clumsy". Margaret is quiet and withdrawn, the nurse notices little eye contact and that Margaret's son is doing most of the talking. As the nurse prepares to obtain vital signs she notices bruising at different stages of healing on Margaret's arms. 

Additional Assessment Data: 

Height 5' 5"; Weight 108 lbs.; BP 106/58 HR 88 R 24 T 97.4°F; Last report of intake was lunchtime day prior; Margaret's husband passed away 9 months ago and has been living with her son for the last 8 months.

TASK:
