Analysis Phase :The Analysis phase determines the level of instruction needed and what outcome the program should produce.
Instructional goals and analysis Identify the aim of the training, Analyze training needs, Identify instructional learning goal
Learner analysis involves reviewing learner characteristics, backgrounds, learning styles, prerequisite knowledge, personal and social characteristics ,abilities/disabilities and cultures, knowledge gaps
Learning objectives Identified Once the Analysis phase is completed, you should have a good idea of the existing gaps that need to be addressed.
Design Phase The Design phase addresses how instructional goals and objectives shape strategies.
The Design Phase should include the following:
Design assessments, Demonstrate how learners will be assessed.
Choose a course format (delivery system)
Instructional strategy
Draft a brief training outline with timelines.
Identify what text, animation, graphics, video, multimedia elements, resources will be used, and sketch the budget.
Briefly outline the contents, and how it relates to specific learning objectives.
Consideration of the environment includes:
- Location of the facility; parking
- Inside noise level; room temperature
- Learner proximity to other learners, and trainer
- Interaction opportunities with others
- Ease of access to materials
- Large group and small group arrangements
- Identify your (facilitator) responsibilities and tasks.
