Brief Course Description:

The course introduces learners to the automation of library and information systems and services.

Course Objectives:

To enable learners acquire knowledge and skills required to design, implement and utilize automated library and information systems.

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the course, learners should be able to:

1. Identify the processes and tasks carried out in library and information systems

2. Analyze library and information system automation needs and requirements

3. Identify techniques involved in the automation of library and information systems

4. Design, test, implement and use automated library and information systems
