Students are required to access the self-evaluation questionnaire to identify their strengths and weaknesses as a leader.

Based on result, student should then write and submit a reflective paper of 2,000 words that meets the learning outcomes one and two.

Student can get a feedback on their first draft from their personal tutor. The draft should not exceed 1000 words. All work will be subject to the policy in relation to internal and external moderation.

In relation to the reflective paper, students are expected to:

- Referring to their past/ current experience and/ or knowledge, identify an area of (ethical, legal, professional and leadership) practice and critically examine the evidence base underpinning the practice.

- Propose changes (creative ideas)/ recommendations for professional practice (based on the best available evidence) that would improve care/ service provision, leadership.

- Discuss how the recommendations could be implemented, utilizing one of the leadership styles.

The assignment must be outlined in the following manner:
- Title page
- Introduction
- A rationale for the choice of topic area
- Description
- A critical review of the literature (analysis, evaluation and synthesis)
- Alternative solution/ practice that would improve case / scenario and should be supported with references (analysis, evaluation and synthesis)
- Action plan: leadership role and strategies to achieve the solution.
- Conclusion
- References
- Appendices
