In reviewing the effects of politics within law enforcement, analyze the public issues that influence the support a community may or may not have for their police agency and/or sheriff's office. Expand your analysis to include how the level of community support may be reflected in the funding budget that is available to the policing agency. Is there a correlation between the budget a police agency has to spend, how those funds are spent, and the crime rate - and why or why not? What, if any, impact is there on budget decisions when the community is satisfied with their policing services? Does this change if there is community dissatisfaction?

Guided Response: Using a minimum of two scholarly sources from the Ashford University Library or another scholarly source of information, identify one example of where the level of community satisfaction and support has had a positive influence on the budget that has been awarded to a law enforcement agency. Identify one example of where the level of community satisfaction and support may have had a negative influence on the budget that has been awarded to a law enforcement agency. Cite your sources and describe how you would address the issue of community satisfaction and law enforcement budgets.
