Scenario: workplace scheduling request You were lucky to find a job near your residence, and that would take your school schedule into account.

You are a full-time student and have face-to-face classes and labs everyday, as well as an evening class on Wednesday nights. You've worked there for a couple of months now, and have a good rapport (relationship) with your fellow coworkers and your manager. You previously gave your manager your school schedule, but you were surprised to see that he scheduled you for a shift during your evening class next week - and midterm exams are coming up in the coming weeks, so you will need additional days off. Write an email to your manager addressing the issue.
