Assignment:
Lexi, a 28-year-old woman, has persistent issues related to her social anxiety. For the last several years, she claims to have had a great deal of self-consciousness and anxiety about being evaluated by others in social settings. She becomes quite nervous when she has to interact to authority persons, attend parties, speak in meetings, or take part in discussions. Although she makes every effort to avoid these kinds of situations, this is getting in the way of her personal and professional life.
Social History
Five years ago, Lexi finished her college education. She is employed in an office environment as an accountant. She doesn't have any close friends at work, but she does have acquaintances. She avoids social situations and goes out in public since she is too nervous to be with others throughout much of her free time.
