Sarah is an 11-year-old girl in Year 5. Sarah's family are refugees who have recently arrived in Australia after experiencing trauma in their homeland. She finds it difficult to concentrate and is easily distracted from her work. Sarah has poor organisational skills and struggles to follow instructions. She is friendly and talkative, although she often finds it challenging to wait her turn and will frequently interrupt the class by blurting out comments and answers. Sarah's parents are keen for her to do well in school and are eager to work with you to support her.

1. Identify familial, cultural and ethical considerations that relate to the case study.
