Case Study: Biology 108 is the introductory study of anatomy and physiology as it relates to the human body. There will be an overview of human body functions, including an introduction to some anatomy and physiology, nutrition and exercise, and modern medical advances. This course is intended for non-science majors. The course includes a laboratory and fulfills the laboratory science course requirement at BC. It is recommended that students have completed high school biology.
Course Outcomes
When you have completed this course you should be able to:
Identify major organ systems
Explain the major interactions of organ systems
Describe how your body functions
Describe the role of nutrition and exercise in human health
List modern medical advances
How The Outcomes Will Be Met The course outcomes will be met by using a varied set of materials that may include the textbook, online exercises, course notes, discussion, worksheets, quizzes, and laboratory assignments which all complement the topics covered in class.
