Case Study: Lab 1 - Sound Survey and Sound Map Introduction A sound map is a graphical representation of sound levels at selected locations within a specific area. It used to identify areas of high sound levels my measuring various sound sources that may be present. A contour sound map indicates the positions of sound sources and contour lines to indicate changes in sound level measurements. These contour lines can be coloured to show areas of low, medium and high sound pressure levels.
