Briefly discuss why you may use MAPP as opposed to PRECEDE-PROCEED?

To develop and implement a program aimed at increasing the health status of people with disabilities in Kentucky using the MAPP model, the following steps could be taken:

1. Mobilize for Action through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP) model is a community-driven strategic planning process for improving community health. The MAPP model involves six phases, which are: organizing for success, visioning, conducting community health assessment, identifying strategic issues, forming goals and strategies, and taking action. Using this model, we can address health issues in a comprehensive and collaborative manner.
2. The first step would be to organize for success. This involves assembling a team of stakeholders to guide the process. The team should include representatives from various sectors, including people with disabilities, healthcare providers, disability advocates, policymakers, and community-based organizations.
3. The second step would be to develop a vision for the program. This involves creating a shared understanding of what the program hopes to achieve. The vision should be developed with the input of people with disabilities and other stakeholders.
4. The third step would be to conduct a community health assessment. This involves gathering data on the health status of people with disabilities in Kentucky, including their access to healthcare, prevalence of chronic conditions, and quality of life.
