There are four basic universal healthcare models adopted by the developed/industrialized countries - approximately 40 out of 200 existing in the world. The USA has elements of almost all of them, including the single-payer model, although the entire health care system remains fragmented despite the current M&A trend. Benefits and challenges of the single-payer system in the U.S. can be viewed on the example of Medicare and Medicaid Services, which work on the "pay it forward" principle and face looming insufficiency as baby-boomers started retiring, with the growing demand which can lead to funds depletion. The challenges which have occurred to health care workers in countries that have adopted a single-payer system is that the remuneration of doctors and nurses is much lower than it is presently in the U.S. High burn-out rates are also a problem rooted in such order. Insurance companies are mostly not-for-profit. However, depending on the degree of governmental control and the amount of the private sector segment present, primarily as providers and insurers, such challenges potentially can be minimalized/eliminated.
In the USA the healthcare industry largely opposes single-payer because it would mean a massive restructuring of the system and likely large financial losses for the companies. The Federation of American Hospitals, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Radiology have already joined a new industry alliance with the insurers and drug makers - America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) - to lobby against a single-payer system in any form. The Partnership for America's Health Care Future applies to employer-provided health coverage which is appealing to the large segment of the population and allows to preserve the most lucrative features of the healthcare, that are in effect now.

I do believe pursuing a single-payer system can be the solution workforce can be a challenge because on America we have two strong parties of government which are Democrats and Republicans. With those two party there have always been a issue when it comes to healthcare. They challenges that has been accounted to those counties that do have single- payers are that health care are being taking care of by the government private or public. Those Doctors usually have a lower salary when it it comes to the salaries. I do believe that the similar challenges would never occur to the United states because of our politicians. Republicans are very strong when it comes for people to pay their own taxes. And it is all about money. It can be very difficult when it comes in having health insurance if people are not covered by their jobs or families members. Based on the life span when it comes to United state we have the shortest life span. (Harvard Health Published by Andrea S. Chrostoher, 2016.) I have experienced in how difficult it can be to have health insurance. But I do feel that if the United states would have a single-payer many doctors would not be pleased because of the salary that they would being home to their families.
