Olivia is a 17-year-old female who identifies as homosexual. She has been having difficulties "coming out" to her family. Her family, composed of her father, mother, and two siblings (15 and 11 years old). often make homophobic remarks. They are Catholic, and believe same-sex relationships are "against God's will". Olivia has been struggling with how to talk to her family. As the oldest child, she is often told she needs to set the example for her younger siblings. She has felt so much pressure recently, that she has been exhibiting signs of depression (decrease in grades, isolation from friends and family, daily crying spells, inability to sleep, and feelings of sadness) and has expressed suicidal ideations. Her family has told her God will see her through this tough time. Olivia decides to meet with the school social worker to ask for help. As the school social worker:
