Questions:
Can you please help me identify good claims and arguments the author makes within the article to help support his points that would be good for analysis? Please provide an example of an argument and an effective analysis if possible. Which quotes in the article would make for a good analysis? Attached below is the criteria for this section of the critique essay for reference.
I am advised to select a few claims/arguments the author makes, and consider if those arguments are compelling, well-supported, and logical. Is the evidence the author presents convincing or not?
(In a critical response, you explain what you think is strong or weak about the source's argument.
Note, you're not responding directly to the argument's issue, whatever it may be, but rather to the quality and design of the argument itself.
Does the author support their claims adequately? Are their points reasonable? Is the argument fair-minded?
The different criteria you look at (logic, credibility, fairness, etc.) usually form a coherent system, or analytic framework. Through this framework, you judge whether the argument is acceptable or not.)
