One of the important aspects of employment is Work Ethics-a set of values centered on the importance of doing work. Previous studies widely indicated that elements which contribute to work ethics are generally related towards the beliefs of an individual, support given by the management, and the responsibility of an organization. Based on this emerging issue, a researcher wishes to examine the role of spiritual intelligence, motivation and organizational culture in explaining work ethics. Spiritual intelligence is referring to an individual internal aspiration and strength to perform acts which will be beneficial for them. Motivation is the process that initiates, guides, and maintains goal-oriented behaviours. Whereas, organizational culture is best described as the style or behavioural patterns that employees use to guide their actions. The researcher has decided to collect data from 250 employees from two different types of organization, a local company and an international company. The main reason of identifying respondents from these companies is to determine if the organization type plays any moderating role on the relationship between spiritual intelligence, motivation, and organizational role toward work ethics.
