Task 01

In this task you have to identify and review Boeing's strategic plan, current policies & procedures, code of conduct and current objectives. You are doing this in order to be able to better identify the changes required during the downsizing process.

To develop this task you need to access and read all the sources of information available on Study Online as news, articles regarding  Boeing's strategic information, policies & procedures, code of conduct, annual reports, etc. You will also need to search for  further information in order to gain a deeper/clearer understanding about the company's strategies and objectives.

Change Requirements
a)  Identify current strategic objectives held by Boeing;
b)  Review Boeing's current Policies & Procedures and Code of Conduct. For this task you will need to identify if the policies and procedures, as well as the code of conduct are aligned with its strategic objectives and/or if changes are necessary;
c)  Develop Boeing's SWOT and PESTLE analysis in order to identify:

·  Identify trends and/or events in the external environment which impacts on the achievement of the organisation's objectives
·  Identify major changes due to performance gaps, business opportunities or threats, or management decisions

Task 02

In this task you are required to develop  a  change management plan that includes  the  main activities/strategies of the plan (i.e.) timeframe, resources, and other topics in order to develop an effective plan and to avoid or reduce resistance from the stakeholders.

Change Management Strategy

a)  Describe the changes you recommend are required and briefly explain their objectives;

b)  Develop the change management plan and include:

·  Relevant activities for  the change management plan including respective timeframe/schedule for each activity;
·  Identify resources necessary to implement the plan;
·  Assign members responsible for each activity;
·  Develop cost benefit analysis (CBA);
·  Develop relevant risk analysis and its contingency plans/activities;

c)  Develop a communication plan and include:
·  Activities/actions/phases 
·  Target audience/stakeholders
·  Medium/channel relevant to communicate efficiently
·  Responsible to communicate/administer each action/activity
·  Suggested outcome from each action/activity

d)  Develop a regular evaluation plan
Evaluation plan is essential to achieve an effective organisational change whether it is used as a tool to monitor, control and review activities throughout the  process or to evaluate the outcomes from the organisational change.

Task 03

Before you submit this assessment you must choose two (02) other students in order to explain your change management plan  to,  and to assist you with  recommendations they make regarding  any relevant changes they feel is necessary that you make in your plan.

The consultation process is highly relevant and essential in an organisational change in order to gain input to the change process from groups, individuals and any other stakeholders involved within a change. Also, it is a technique to avoid or reduce resistance in the process where barriers are identified and negotiated with the stakeholders that can contribute with knowledge and expectations.

For this task you need to do the following with/to the other students: 
-  Present your change management plan;
-  Explain the activities, actions,  timeframes, resources, costs, benefits, communication and evaluation plans;
-  Consult other students to assist with the identification of major change requirements/opportunities;
-  Obtain approval from other students to confirm the change management plan;
