Reconstruct a conflict management issue using the following steps:

Step 1 - Identify a conflict that occurs regularly in your work situation. If you cannot think of one, check with your peers or with your nurse manager/leader for suggestions.

Step 2 - Check with your nurse manager/leader to determine how s/he manages conflict.

Step 3 - Search for at least three scholarly references that indicate best practices for resolving conflict and bringing about change in the health care environment.

Step 4 - Compile the information into a 3-5 page paper (not including the title and reference pages) in APA format. You must have at least 2 scholarly references in addition to the textbook and 2 citations. Include the following in the paper:

What is the conflict?

How do you or the manager know it is occurring?

What are the management strategies utilized to control/stop the conflict? (both from your manager's perspective and from the best practices identified in the literature)
