Communicating in the project environment can be challenging as there are many barriers standing in the way of effective communication. In your readings, you were introduced to many of these barriers that can derail the communications process and new trends/emerging practices in project communications management that will undoubtedly improve project communications among project stakeholders.

1. Identify at least three different barriers to effective communications and thoroughly discuss these barriers.

2. Select ONE trend or emerging practice in project communications management identified by the Project Management Institute (see Chapter 10, Project Communications Management) and explain how the trend or emerging practice could help reduce the barriers you have discussed in this response.
