Case Study: National Enterprise Systems, a collection agency in Solon, Ohio, was my prior employment. For fourteen years, I worked as a collector there. My position was essential since I was among the company's top 10% of collectors who could collect any product.

At NES, we were randomly observed and monitored by our compliance department. My team was the first to touch a new product when it arrived. We didn't have time to practice. So, if we mentioned something incorrectly when reading the disclosure or the product, we were written up and occasionally had our bonus money withheld. This made the bulk of us afraid to work on new client accounts and stressed out many excellent collectors who finally quit.
