Question

Alexander Wright, recently hired at 'Cars R Us' advanced an application at the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario on the basis that his employer discriminated against him as a result of his disability. Alexander had only been working for the company for 8 weeks and was let go before his probationary period had elapsed. Alexander was hired as a lot and property maintenance associate and his role was to ensure the lot and property/cars were maintained and parked appropriately for sale. Review of his employment file from 'Cars R Us' notes inadequate job performance and Alexander had 2 warnings on his record given previous altercations between him and another employee. Alexander alleges that his employer fired him based on his disability as he disclosed this information to the employee, he had an altercation with. He alleges this colleague advised the company of this disability and was fired as a result. Alexander notes in his application her suffers from depression and alcohol addiction. Upon further investigation, 'Cars R Us' was informed that Alexander had filed 12 similar human rights applications against various employers for similar incidents.
