Using the required resources listed below and any of those we have discussed in class or listed as supplemental resources in the outdoor play lesson link, you will develop PowerPoint Presentation to explain why and how outdoor play is important for children 0-3 years' development, health and well-being.

Presentation must include:
Introduction (1-2 slides) :A title, several sentences and a quote to introduce your benefits. The introduction section must also include your name, course number/section and my name (think of this as a fancy abstract for a research paper).
Body (4-6 slides):
1. Identify and discuss using the required resources two benefits of outdoor play for children 0-3 years
2. Detail one play experience. You must consider:
materials: i.e. loose parts, found items in the outdoor environment
set-up: where will this be, how will the materials will be presented/introduced
verbal strategies you would use to encourage, support and challenge
reasons: How does it support and/or challenge the the two benefits discussed.
In the body of your presentation you must use the required resources to support your discussions and ideas (paraphrasing or in text citations are required).
Conclusion (1-2 slides): Summarize, and highlight your benefits. What are the big idea
Remember a power point should be creative (include related pictures, graphics, and related videos). The goal is to create a resource for educators, peers or to use in your e-portfolio to demonstrate your knowledge as an advocate for outdoor play.
