In a 3-page paper, using proper spelling and grammar, address the following:

• Identify and describe Mexican and Somalia's different cultures that you would like to research and learn more about; ideally, choose cultures that you will serve through your work as a Human Services Professional.
• Be sure to select specific cultures, such as Korean Culture versus American Culture or African American culture versus Chinese American Culture (ask your instructor for guidance, if you are unsure if your choices are appropriate).
• Support your research with at least 2 scholarly sources from the Rasmussen Library and incorporate them in your paper. You are encouraged to include other trustworthy and reliable sources as well.
• Compare and contrast the cultures you selected. Be sure to address a variety of the Mechanisms of Culture (e.g., values, norms, geography, educational attainment, etc.). Examine the ways in which they are similar/different.
• Write a conclusion explaining why it will be important for you, as a Human Services Professional, to be culturally competent and to understand cultures that are different than your own.
