Focus of the Final Paper

• Identify an urban growth policy within your community.
• Provide an overview of the policy and interpret the criteria for the policy.
• Analyze the impact of the policy and how it has assisted in community development.
• Explain at least two considerations that public administrators must address to effectively influence public behavior.
• Discuss the anticipated or direct impact (both positive and negative) on your community in regards to sustainability, transportation, smart growth, or regional growth.
• Provide specific examples to support your paper.

Writing the Final Paper

The Paper:

1. Must be eight double-spaced pages in length (not including the title and reference pages) and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the approved APA style guide.

2. Must include a cover page that includes:

o Title of paper
o Student's name
o Course name and number
o Instructor's name
o Date submitted

3. Must include an introductory paragraph with a succinct thesis statement.

4. Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought.

5. Must conclude with a restatement of the thesis and a conclusion paragraph.

6. Must use APA style as outlined in the approved APA style guide to document all sources.

7. Must use at least five relevant and credible scholarly and/or professional sources in addition to the text.

8. Must include on the final page, a reference page that is completed according to APA style as outlined in the approved APA style guide.
