Instructions:
1. Identify an important managerial challenge facing your work or other organization.
2. Develop a plan that integrates Project Management (PM), Operations Management (OM), and Information Systems Management (ISM) to successfully meet this challenge and improve organizational performance, in a succinct report that includes an Executive Summary.
Operations Management here refers to the daily processes at your organization or other organization; you should show how they will be changed after the project is completed.
Information Systems Management refers to the support provided by IS and IT both during the project and also afterwards; you should describe it.
As to overall plan format, I-B-C is as always, recommended.
(Introduction, Body, Conclusion).
Again a results-filled Executive Summary (ES) should lead off the plan.
Please see attached an example of a good - not a perfect EOSP.
It happens to have been written by a Navy lieutenant, then stationed at the U.S. Naval Air Station, Atsugi, Japan.
Note how she addressed each element of the EOSP instructions.
Real / imaginary managerial challenge that integrates the three concepts - PM, OM, ISM. My only plea is that it be realistic as to meaningful to an American reader.
