ASSIGNMENT:

Please make a new "Public Policy Draft" that you conceptualize a new administrative law agency/body in Sacramento County impacting an administrative law agency. You shall make a draft of the "Public Policy" for consideration by the Board of Supervisors or a bill for enactment by the State Legislature.

Requirements

Select one of the following two jurisdictions: 1) Your County (Sacramento) Board of Supervisors or 2) Your State. If you select the latter, you must decide whether you will draft legislation to be introduced in either the Assembly or Senate. Simulate your role as either a State legislator or a County Supervisor.

Identify an administrative law agency or body that you will either 1) Create or 2) Modify substantially. (Refer to a textbook for "enabling legislation" and "intelligible principle")

Depending on the jurisdiction you have selected, draft legislation or a Board Motion to create or modify the administrative law agency/body.

Research the background and public policy rationale for the creation or modification. Also, research examples of recently enacted or pending legislation/Board motions to serve as examples for this project. Format your proposed legislation or Board motion precisely as your state legislature or County Board of Supervisors would be introduced.

Finally, it should not be something professional. You can prepare something as an internship level.
