Problem
Construct a hypothetical (made up) scientific method problem. You can have some fun with this, but please be appropriate. Be sure to address the following areas.
1. Problem: Identify a problem you are (hypothetically) interested in looking at. It could be something simple or it could be something complex, but make it something reflective of your interests.
2. Hypothesis: Construct your hypothesis and remember your hypothesis is the position you are taking on the question. This is what you will test (hypothetically) to see if your "hunch" is accurate so be sure to form it as a position statement.
3. Testing mechanism: How are you going to assess this? This is the research design section. While I don't expect this to be prefect I want you to generally think about and briefly discuss a few things.
a. What data do you need?b. How would you collect the data?
4. Analysis: (this is statistical analysis beyond the scope of this class so you can leave this blank)
5. Results: What do you think the results would indicate (you can just make this up) and why? What do you think your educated guess would turn out like. Does (or do you believe it would) the evidence support hypothesis or does it not support your hypothesis. Also be sure to tell me why you think that.
